Amity School of Hospitality (ASH) hosted the "Second Chance Cycle Competition" during Amifest 2024 on February 28, 2024, at AUH. With a focus on repurposing waste materials, the event aimed to foster creativity and environmental consciousness among students. Two participants showcased their ingenuity by crafting various innovative products from discarded items, including flower pots made from kulhads and wall hangings from CDs.
Judged by esteemed faculty members Dr. Vinod Kumar and Mr. Mohd Soyav, the competition saw Ms. Sushmita clinch the first position, while Mr. Himaan Sahajwalla secured the second spot. This initiative not only provided a platform for students to exhibit their artistic skills but also underscored the importance of sustainability in today's world. By transforming waste into useful and aesthetically pleasing items, participants demonstrated their commitment to reducing environmental impact and promoting eco-friendly practices.
